We are FINALLY getting some strawberries to grow! Weather has been so crazy this summer that our plants are just barely producing some fruit. David came out with me to pick our first batch of strawberries and was sooo excited to come in and eat them! They were gone in a flash.
For the 4th, we had a bunch of friends over to BBQ and do fireworks at our place since we couldn't really go anywhere with our almost 1 week old! 
The kids had a blast playing outside doing poppers and setting off fireworks. I think we had enough fireworks to give us about 3 hours of noisy fun. Nathaniel, however, did not think it was much fun and was content just to watch from inside the house. Once we set off a loud aerial though, he freaked out and gave up on fireworks deciding instead that watching Dora was the safer option. 
The kids loved all the firework fun (and, of course, being able to stay up WAY too late!). We are already gathering fireworks and making plans for our 24th of July celebration.

You're amazing Leah! I can't believe you had the energy to have a BBQ and celebrate after only giving birth a week ago. Isabella is so cute. Max keeps telling me that we need to move to utah so he can be with his cousins. We miss you guys :)
