4th of July weekend

My sister Kristin and her family came into town from Idaho the first weekend of July to hang out with us. The kids had a blast playing together and I had fun getting some 'sister' time.
For the 4th, we tried to go out on the boat, but ended up spending about an hour and a half just trying to get the boat back to the marina before it died on us from over-heating. It wasn't the most successful venture out on the lake, but the kids had fun being outside and getting to play in the water at least...
After the lake, we came back to our house for hot dogs, pizza, and fireworks. Alex's sister, Temree brought the other cousins over to have a "blast" with the other kids. Alex bought this huge box of fireworks that we set off in our driveway - it took over an hour to go through them all! David and Kaitlyn absolutely LOVED them and had so much fun with the sparklers. We cracked up when Alex set off a firework, then threw a little "bomb" at the kids and scared them...it was hilarious! And all the while, little Nathaniel slept soundly inside the house...
